Many Saint Lucians have made the United States their home away from home over the years. In states like Texas, Georgia, Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia, diaspora organizations have taken root. As a result, the Government of Saint Lucia released its Diaspora Policy to connect with Saint Lucians abroad.
